How long does it take to build a dome?

QuickSpace works with experienced teams which allows us to install domes very quickly and professionally. On average, set-up and take-down takes about 1 or 2 hours, but if necessary we can speed this up by adjusting team size. For example, it is also possible to convert a room from a plenary setting to a workshop setting with multiple domes serving as workshop spaces in a very short time, such as a lunch break.

Does set-up time differ between different domes?

We offer a wide range of domes, so the set-up time is not the same everywhere. Especially with the larger structures and cubes it is sometimes necessary to place truss systems. This makes the set up and take down time a bit longer. But again, it can still be done very quickly, especially if we scale up the team.

Can a dome also be built up or taken down during an event?

Yes, that is quite possible. Besides being fast, it is also silent. So for both construction and deconstruction, it can be done without inconvenience.

Can my own staff help build and dismantle domes?

Yes, that is a possibility. There will always be at least one experienced member of our team present. Should you have your own staff that can be deployed, we can agree on how it can be done best when installing the domes.

What else to consider when building a dome?

It is important to consider other work at the event. For example, laying the floor, and placing or hanging truss systems. The domes can usually only be built up after work on the ceiling has been completed. The order of dismantling also depends on this. So usually the domes need to be finished first, before the trusses on the ceiling can be finished.

The design of the dome

Usually the interior of the dome is built up after the dome is in place. These include chairs and technology. In some cases, it is very difficult to place the furnishings after the dome is built because of time constraints. In that case, a dome can usually be built around the furnishings. Our team has experience with this so it can be done without any problems.

Building domes around pillars

Some event venues have many pillars that can get in the way of placing the domes at the event. QuickSpace domes are equipped with a system that allows them to be placed around pillars. In this way, the space in the event hall can be used optimally.

Where can the domes be placed?

Our domes can be placed at almost any indoor location. Any surface is suitable, but must be clean. Any small differences in height or unevenness are no problem. Our domes are basically only used indoors.
